Aiki Kids Open House 2016

Osu!

We are having our first ever Aiki Kids Open House 2016 taking place at 4:00 pm on Sunday, 4 December 2016 at our dojo. This event is free of charge and open to the public.

Here at Aikido Shudokan Singapore, we teach yoshinkan aikido which is a Japanese martial art originating in the 9th century.

Currently, our kids are aged between 5 years to 12 years old. In class we teach them the importance of discipline, focus and integrity through formal etiquette. Technical abilities are trained in the form of effective breakfalls, rolls and cartwheels, while basic motor coordination is improved via the use of set techniques. To round off the programme, an extensive array of physical conditioning and games utilizing the basic principles of yoshinkan are played with the aim of keeping classes fun and interesting.

More information will follow in the weeks to come. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us for any queries. We hope to see you there!

Thinesh Lee Krishnamoorthy Shodan Grading

Osu!

Aikido Shudokan Malaysia is proud to share this video of Thinesh Lee Krishnamoorthy's Shodan (1st Dan) grading in Singapore from a few weeks ago.

This video embodies all the values that Aikido Shudokan hopes to foster in our Aikidoka, the most important being the spirit of never giving up even when pushed to the limit. Once again congratulations to our newest Shodan, Thinesh!
